Drop-Off Policy

Pre-school and elementary students drop-off policy is as follows:

  • 6:30 AM -8:00 AM: All students are to enter through the main entrance doors (the double glass doors in the center of the building).
  • Parents may their children to the class from 7:24 AM – 7:55 AM.
  • At 7:55 AM when the first bell rings, all parents should begin exiting the building so that teachers may begin their classroom promptly at 8:00 AM.
  • All entrance doors will be locked at 8:00 AM.
  • After 8:00 AM, you must enter through the school office and sign in your student.
  • Parents will not be allowed to escort their children to class after 8:00 AM (except K3 & K4).
Elementary Dress Code

School uniforms are required for all elementary students (K5 – 6th) attending Heritage Christian Academy. All uniforms are to be neat, clean, and in good condition. Torn, tattered, or dirty uniforms are unacceptable.

Heritage Christian Academy students are to wear only school-approved shirts and bottoms. HCA has a contract with Educational Outfitters for uniforms. Orders may be placed online or in store:

Dress Code Guidelines:

All shirts are to be tucked into pants, skirts, etc. (young men and ladies). All pants and skirts, are to be worn around the waist and are not to be lowered, rolled down, or rolled under. Skirts and jumpers must be no shorter than the bottom of the knee (without any alteration or modification to the garment).

Only white undershirts are allowed. Girls may wear shorts underneath their skirts and jumpers for modesty purposes. The shorts must not be visible below the hemline of the outer garment. Only school-approved HCA sweaters or jackets are to be worn indoors during school hours. Belts must be black or brown, solid or braided leather. Belts must have plain, small buckles. Belts must be worn with all pants and skirts with belt loops.

Socks, when worn, are to be in solid white, navy, or black and may have small logos or thin colored band or trim. Tights with feet or footless tights may be worn in white, navy, black, brown, or tan. Full length leggings/tights may be worn under uniform skirts or jumpers from October through March in colors white, black, navy, brown, and tan. No sandals, open back shoes, or flip flops are to be worn during these months. Shoes must be correctly laced and tied at all times. Crocs are allowed for girls only, shoe-like versions ONLY, such as girl’s Mary Jane’s, etc. No open backs or holes!

Students may wear boots to school during the colder months only: October through March ONLY. Boots must not have high heels, chains, spikes, or spurs. Shoes must be correctly laced and tied at all times. Tennis shoes are still required for physical education.

Students are not to have tattoos – permanent or temporary. This includes drawing on the skin.

A boy’s hair is to be neatly trimmed, off the collar and ears, and out of the eyes. Traditional haircuts are expected. Dred locks and corn rows are not allowed. Fad haircuts are not allowed. The administration will determine suitability of haircuts.

Boys must wear shoes with socks. No sandals, flip flops or Crocs.

Uniforms are to be worn at all times! A change of clothing can occur only after school is dismissed and the student is off school grounds. A HCA PE Uniform is required for all grades that are required to change clothes during Physical Education classes.

This dress code will be enforced. Please make sure that your child is in compliance each morning before coming to school. Heritage Christian Academy administration has the authority to determine whether or not an item is acceptable to dress code.

High School Dress Code

School uniforms are required for all high school students (7th – 12th) attending Heritage Christian Academy. All uniforms are to be neat, clean, and in good condition. Torn, tattered, or dirty uniforms are unacceptable.

Students are required to have an HCA Oxford shirt for chapel days. Boys are required to wear ties for chapel.

Only school sweaters or jackets are to be worn indoors during school hours. Belts must be black or brown, solid or braided leather. Belts must have plain, small buckles. Belts must be worn with all pants and skirts with belt loops.

Socks, when worn, are to be in solid white, navy, and black and may have small logos or thin-colored bands or trim. Tights with feet or footless tights may be worn in white, navy, black, brown, and tan. Full-length leggings/tights (to the ankle) may be worn under uniform skirts from October through March in colors white, black, navy, brown, and tan. Crocs are allowed for girls only (shoe-like versions ONLY, such as girl’s Mary Jane’s etc.). No open backs or holes!
